GNO

Sometimes you just need a good girls’ night out, and Ashley Hesseltine and I were long overdue. Well, not really since we hosted our second-annual Pure Romance party last weekend at RAW with 20 of our favorite gals, but that’s not the point. Last night, we attended two fabulous shopping events at two of my favorite stores. Ladies, put your flats on and run to these boutiques immediately to stock up on your spring wardrobe.

The first event was a fundraiser for Atlanta Humane Society’s 1873 Society Club at 310 Rosemont. I’m a new member of 1873, and was thrilled to hear that shopping would be a requirement of the new position. 310 Rosemont is a dream. The store is packed with some of my favorite lines from Haute Hippie to French Connection (I’ve got my eye on this sparkly number), and the men’s selection is well-edited and super Southern (read: lots of ties with little animals on them). Plus, it’s hard not to love a store when you’re greeted by a chocolate lab named Chanel, wearing pearls and noshing on a tennis ball.

Next, it was on to Meringue to see the lovely Kitsy Rose and re-visit the scene of the crime (Ashley and I both did some damage at Meringue on Sunday after a boozy brunch at Rosebud). I really didn’t think I would find anything else that I just had to have, but I fell in love with a bright coral sweater that is currently keeping me cozy on this dreary day. Ashley won some lingerie in the drawing, which made me jealous but I guess I’m happy for her, and we ended the night with some vino and charcuterie at Fritti. Shopping, girl talk, wine and cheese… it’s a winning formula.
