WE'RE TAKING A BREAK FROM OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED NEWSLETTER TO GIVE YOU A SLICE OF ITALY

For the second summer in a row, we headed to Italy to beat the Atlanta heat and hone our skills at photo styling. There's no better time to explore this beautiful country than summer (except maybe fall, winter and spring!). And there's no better way to see it than through the eyes of someone who lives there. For us, that person is Atlanta stylist, author and entertaining maven, Annette Joseph. Annette has had a long love affair in Italy. She owned a flat in the coastal town of Alassio for 12 years before the appeal of the Tuscan countryside and its bounty of local food purveyors drew her to buy a centuries-old fortress in Lunigiana. She and her husband Frank, along with countless local art

TO MARK THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER, WE'RE FLASHING BACK TO THE SUMMER OF 1969

Great leaders have posited that you have to know the past to understand the future. So with the first official day of summer THIS Friday, we're flashing back to the summer of 1969, marked by Woodstock, a man on the moon, the Manson murders and the Stonewall Riots. During the summer of 1969, The Who released its epic rock opera, "Tommy," The Beatles' "Get Back" shot to number one on the Billboard charts and it was a great time for films, with "Midnight Cowboy" earning seven Academy Award nominations and going on to win three, including best picture, beating out "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "Easy Rider" and "True Grit." In other entertainment news, nearly 400,000 people showed up

WHO'S YOUR DADDY?

In the PR biz, we come up with creative ways to capitalize on holidays to earn our clients press. We'll serve you the ultimate Valentine's experience with a "if-you-have-to-ask-you-can't-afford-it" price tag. We'll pamper your mom with an over-the-top Mother's Day brunch and spa treatments. And we'll create a fun and exciting way to burn off that turkey and pie after Thanksgiving (hint: it's called shopping!). And then there's Father's Day. Somehow, the guy who taught you how to ride a bike, paid your way through college and walked you down the aisle gets steaks on the grill bought, cooked and served by him. In fact, while Mother's Day holds the record for the most phone calls, Father's Da

STAYCATION - ALL I EVER WANTED STAYCATION - HAD TO GET AWAY

Our new crop of summer interns has been navigating all that our fabulous city has to offer. They've hit the Atlanta BeltLine, Ponce City Market, the High Museum of Art and even the new Whole Foods in Midtown. And this got us thinking. With so much to do right here in the ATL, why not take a Staycation in our own backyard? These past two quarters have ushered in a plethora of new hotel options, including Buckhead's Waldorf Astoria (don't miss the spa!), re-flagged from the Mandarin Oriental in December; Canopy by Hilton in Midtown (we love Chef Christian Messier!) and the first dual brand of an AC Hotel and Moxy located in the heart of Midtown (High Note is the hottest rooftop deck).
