Baby it's cold outside but there's a hot new restaurant in West Midtown that's got a Caribbean vibe. We're thrilled to announce our newest restaurant client Rock Steady, serving Afro-Caribbean cuisine, cocktails and music.
The menu focuses on contemporary renditions of traditional Caribbean cuisine. Think handmade Black Pepper Pappardelle Pasta with Slow Braised Oxtail, Braised Jerk Chicken, Kreyol Seafood Curry and Brown Stew Lamb Shank, along with several creative vegetarian offerings.
There's also an edited after-hours dining menu available until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays featuring unexpected twists of the dinner menu, such as Jerk Lollipop Wings and a Rock Steady Burger with a Caribbean kick.
Rock Steady's name comes from the popular 1960s Jamaican music, characterized by a mellow, swaying rhythm. Complementing the cuisine, enjoy a thoughtfully culled playlist of music, from the West Indies to West Africa, curated by an in-house DJ.
The Caribbean vibe is also incorporated throughout Rock Steady’s design. Sculptural sea urchin-like lights suspend throughout the dining room highlighting the array of African textiles and artifacts which hang alongside original artwork, murals and vintage black and white photography.
