Hot New Restaurant Opening This Month
We are always intrigued by brands whose appeal transcends a singular audience. When we helped the fine folks at Wahlburgers with the sneak preview of their downtown eatery last week, we were particularly impressed with the appeal of Mark Wahlberg. Everyone loves this guy! Men and women. Gay and straight. Black and white. Old and young. He's simply got "it."
And it got us thinking. It's our job to make brands sticky, appealing and relatable. We can't always control the end product, but we work hard to get brands on your radar and ideally to keep you coming back to them. Some are easier than others. And then there are those brands that people go gaga for. So, what makes people fall in love with a brand? The question was no less prevalent throughout the past couple weeks as our clients, friends and associates mourned the passing of Kobe Bryant. His brand was Black Mamba. And he appealed to the masses, not just basketball fans. Yes - Black Mamba was an incredible athlete, hugely philanthropic and handsome. But the takeaway for us was that Kobe Bryant loved his family -- he adored his girls. And for that - everyone can relate. He made us want to be better parents, spouses and siblings. We cheered on Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for lighting the airport purple and gold for his team, the Los Angeles Lakers. And we shouted out to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and downtown’s Georgia’s Own Credit Union building, which both glowed purple and gold. Join us in cheering on all the #GirlDads.
