This pandemic is impacting everyone. And the hardest hit are generally the ones who are the least prepared. They are the nonprofits on the frontlines. We’re cheering on the hard work of our clients, Helping Mamas and Hillels of Georgia, who are still servicing their constituents during these trying times.
Students are being hard hit and Hillels of Georgia is supporting them on campuses throughout the state with virtual programming, helping those who have been displaced by school closures and providing financial assistance. With all universities going virtual, Hillels quickly adapted to meet the students’ needs. Despite not being face-to-face with them, all Hillels are continuing their great work making meaningful connections and creating impactful programs—they have simply moved them online. The staff remain passionate about students which, in turn, leaves students passionate about Hillel.
Babies are in need as well. Helping Mamas, Georgia's only baby supply banks, is working hard to keep up with the diaper demand, providing supplies for moms in need. In particular, they're greatly in need of diapers for ages 2 to 6 months. Check out their good work here CBS46 and WSB-TV.
