Fall in Love with Jackson Fine Art's Expansion
WE LOVE JACKSON FINE ART'S EXPANSION!
Save-The-Date
OPENING FRIDAY, MARCH 24TH
Jackson Fine Art is thrilled to announce its move to a custom-built, 4,000-square-foot gallery located directly across the street at 3122 East Shadowlawn Avenue. The new gallery retains the comfortable home-like ambiance of the much loved former gallery, now with an expanded exhibition, office, inventory, library and meeting spaces to keep pace with the evolution of photography in contemporary art and offer an elevated experience for artists and collectors. The opening, on Friday, March 24th, commences a weekend of events around its inaugural exhibitions of work by Cooper & Gorfer, Sheila Pree Bright, and Francesca Woodman. The gallery invites the community for a public opening reception from 7 to 9 pm, followed by artists' talks on the morning of Saturday, March 25th at 11 am. Each of these artists represents characteristics that distinguish Jackson Fine Art. This will be the first U.S. gallery exhibition for Stockholm-based artist duo Cooper & Gorfer, highlighting the gallery's tradition of recognizing cutting-edge talent on a global scale and exhibiting those creators with Jackson Fine Art and beyond. Celebrated Atlanta photographer Sheila Pree Bright, reasserts the gallery's commitment to exhibiting local artists who are essential to the history of photography in the South. Francesca Woodman, presented in collaboration with Danziger Gallery, celebrates the foundational work of 20th-century artists that have always grounded Jackson Fine Art. Collectively, these exhibitions honor the relationships with artists, collectors, art professionals, and the public who have contributed to the gallery's success over the past 33 years.
