IT'S THE GIVING TIME OF YEAR

With Giving Tuesday just one week away, there will be plenty of opportunities to support your favorite charities.

As we head into the holidays, it's nice to think about giving back. If money is tight - consider volunteering or cleaning out your closet and donating clothes.

You can join Second Helpings Atlanta to pack meal kits every Wednesday at their Jefferson Street warehouse. You can also drive a 90-minute food rescue route on your own time and in your own car to transfer fresh, surplus food from grocers, corporate kitchens and stadiums to the agencies that feed those in need.

With 1 in 7 children and 1 in 9 adults experiencing food insecurity in the areas that Second Helpings Atlanta serves, Meals With Meaning helps ensure that the organization can continue to drive out hunger in Metro Atlanta.

Helping Mamas always welcomes volunteers to help organize donations. You could also host a diaper drive to help this baby supply bank support the one in three families that struggles to buy diapers.

If you give and it feels good - great. And if you give while also getting a little something back - like free tickets to Cirque du Soleil - even better!

Cirque du Soleil is donating 200 tickets to the first 200 folks who donate diapers (size 4 and up) or hygiene items valued at $50, for that evening’s performance of KURIOS, on Friday, November 25 at 8 pm.

Donations will ONLY be accepted at The Big Top at Atlantic Station.

Tickets are limited to one per person or a maximum of four tickets per family, and will operate on a first-come, first serve basis. After the first 200 tickets are claimed, customers can purchase discounted tickets at the Box Office for select performances.
