SECOND HELPINGS ATLANTA WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

ATLANTA (February 26, 2021) -- Second Helpings Atlanta welcomed four new members to its board of directors. Comprising top talent from organizations such as UPS, Whole Foods and Calendly, the new appointments will help Second Helpings Atlanta continue its mission as the city’s leading non-profit rescuing healthy, nutritious, surplus food and distributing it to those in need.
“We are thrilled to add new talent and diverse perspectives to our incredible board,” said Second Helpings Atlanta’s executive director, Andrea Jaron. “The last year has brought an increased demand, and we rely on our growing board to help us lean into that growth.”
New SHA Board Members:
Bianca Frails, Marketing Manager, Corporate Environmental Risk Management
Jeff Handler, Senior Attorney, UPS
Paul Clements, Senior Marketing Specialist, Wholes Foods
Srinivas Somayajula, Head of Product Operations, Calendly
Second Helpings Atlanta also named Lisa Boren Sivy to board president. Sivy has been on the board since 2018, and is Operations Manager, Chief of Staff/Governance & Policy with Cox Communications.
Second Helpings Atlanta has seen a major spike in need due to the pandemic. The organization rescues more than 125,000 pounds of surplus fresh, perishable food every month from 75 food donors and delivers it to more than 70 homeless shelters, food pantries, domestic violence shelters and other nonprofits across the Atlanta metropolitan area.
